 The
cousin of former NFL star Rosey Grier, Pam Grier was born in 1949 in
Winston-Salem, North Carolina. After moving to Hollywood to pursue
an acting career, she was discovered by director Roger Corman and cast
in a series of women-in-prison movies, as well as several popular
blaxploitation
films.
With her striking facial features and gorgeous physique, she quickly became an icon of the big screen. At various times, she was romantically linked to stars such as Richard Pryor, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Freddie Prinze. Thanks to her talent (and those massive jugs hiding inside her sweater), Grier continues to be a box-office attraction to this day. While she hasn’t done a nude scene in a long while, you couldn’t walk into a theatre in the 70s without seeing her cocoa-hued globes. Women in Cages (1971) - Playing a lesbian prison warden named Alabama, Pam Grier is on fire in this exploitation film. Whether she’s involved in some lesbian foreplay, getting whipped, or being beaten by a gang of men, you can count on her mammoth jugs making a frequent appearance. Rating: 3 Boobs out of 4 The Big Doll House (1971) - Once again playing an evil lesbian, Grier gets soaped up by Judith M. Brown while her impressive udders sway to and fro. Later, her tit pops out during a down-in-the-mud catfight in the prison yard. Rating: 2 Boobs out of 4 Hit Man (1972) - This time around, Grier plays a porn actress named Gozelda. You’ll get to see Pam bump and grind with Bernie Casey, showing her boobs and bush along the way. In another scene, Pam watches herself perform a porn scene on the screen, although this scene is sadly not XXX. Rating: 3 Boobs out of 4 Black Mama, White Mama (1972) - Two women, one black and one white, are chained together as they stage a prison break. While they can’t get along at first, they both come to admire each other’s giant boobs and sexy legs. How’s that for improving race relations? The movie begins with Pam, Wendy Green, and Margaret Markov in the shower. They soap each other up for at least two minutes, and there is plenty of naked female flesh to admire. Later, Pam and Margaret Markov are confined to the sweatbox. When the guards open it up to check on them, we’re treated to both sets of mouth-watering boobs on display. Rating: 4 Boobs out of 4 The Big Bird Cage (1972) - Pam is back in another women in prison film. This time, we only get a shot of her boob as she falls into the mud during a furious knife fight. For those of you interested, however, the film does feature lots of other foxes doffing their clothes. Rating: 1 Boob out of 4 Coffy (1973) - This was Pam’s breakthrough role, and it doesn’t hurt that it contains a ton of nudity. As a female vigilante, Pam blows away the bad guys but leaves them with a smile on their faces. Take that, Charles Bronson! Most of the nudity is not full-on, instead just giving us a glimpse here and there. There is one scene, however, that gives us a nice 23 second look at her incredible ass and big breasts. See this movie!
Rating: 4 Boobs out of 4 The Arena (1973) - In this tale of female gladiators, we get a couple of opportunities to see Ms. Grier’s big boobs and even bigger bush. Man, something about sweaty women wielding swords really turns me on. Rating: 2 Boobs out of 4 Foxy Brown (1974) - Pam’s back for revenge in another blaxploitation film, this time looking to avenge her dead brother and boyfriend. At one point in the film, Pam is tied to a bed and desperately trying to escape. Luckily, her boobs pop out during the struggle. Oops! Rating: 2 Boobs out of 4 Friday Foster (1975) - As a photographer who accidentally films an assassination, Pam Grier (and her melons) are once again in fine form. Whether she’s taking a shower or relaxing in a hot tub, you can be sure that her ebony mammaries are going to be proudly on display. Rating: 2 Boobs out of 4 Bucktown (1975) - Pam Grier and Fred Williamson team up to stomp out racist cops and corrupt brothers in this blaxploitation film. Fortunately, we get a look at one of Pam’s tits, but it’s not as much as I would like. Rating: 1 Boob out of 4 Drum (1976) - Featuring Ken Norton, Pam Grier, Warren Oates and Yaphet Kotto, this exploitation film boasts a surprisingly nice cast. Grier plays the main squeeze of Norton, and she ends up being captured and ravished by the evil redneck Oates. We get to see her breasts for just a few seconds, but it’s an image that will be burned into my mind for all eternity. Rating: 1 Boob out of 4 Since she hasn’t done a nude scene in over 30 years, it’s not likely that we’ll ever see Grier’s milk bags on screen again. But at least we can think back to the 70s and dream about Pam and her dark brown bazongas. Mmmmm. |
