Nicole Smith will be remembered for her scandal-ridden

Howard Marshall, after the couple met in a Houston strip club where Smith was performing. Marshall died 13 months after their wedding, and Smith and Marshall’s sons quickly became involved in a nasty legal battle over his estate. As the years passed, Smith starred in several films and even had her own reality television show. However, her weight began to rise and her sometimes bizarre behavior fanned the rumors of drug and alcohol abuse. While her antics continued, Smith was eventually able to get her weight under control and became the spokeswoman for TrimSpa. In 2006, she gave birth to a baby girl named Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern. Sadly, her son Daniel collapsed in her hospital room while visiting her and died. Later that year, Anna Nicole participated in a "commitment ceremony" with longtime lawyer (and the supposed father of Dannielynn), Howard K. Stern in the Bahamas. Many, however, claimed that the couple were hiding out in the Bahamas to avoid paternity testing on her daughter. On February 8th, 2007, Anna Nicole Smith was found dead in Room 607 of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. The exact cause of death is still being investigated, and numerous controversies have cropped up, including the true father of Dannielynn and who gets to take possession of Anna Nicole’s body. Even in death, Anna Nicole Smith is surrounded by controversy.
