Aria Giovanni Doesn't Do Hardcore

Ten days after the photos were submitted, Aria was being interviewed by Penthouse. Two days later, she shot the cover for the September 2000 issue. She had met Suze at the end of May, and she was on the newsstands at the end of July as the Penthouse Pet of the Month.

That same month, Aria was accepted into the University of California - San Diego as a junior transfer student. While her major remained Biochemistry, she added English Literature as her minor. At that point, Aria was forced to choose between her newfound modeling career and college. She rationalized that she could always go back to college at a later date, but she probably wouldn’t be able to go back to modeling. For this reason, she left college and hasn’t been back since.

Since then, Aria has been working non-stop. She has branched out into a number of genres and shot with numerous models and photographers. After about a year of modeling, she realized the importance of having her own website and worked towards launching one. Six months later, is was up and running.

While she received offers from a number of hardcore companies, Aria decided to hold firm and reject the notion of doing hardcore scenes. She has done a few videos for Penthouse, but they are significantly softer in content than the magazine.

To the disappointment of many fans, Aria has described herself as completely heterosexual. While she enjoys playing around with her female co-stars on camera, that’s as far as it goes. She avoids scenes with men because she believes that a performer should be able to keep some things for themselves.

She has done a number of other movies, most notably working with famed erotic director Andrew Blake. The collaborations include Girlfriends, Aria, Blondes & Brunettes, Justine, Adriana, and Naked Diva. She lists her favorite of these movies as Aria, since it was her first DVD and first collaboration with Blake.
